Residents are encouraged to leave behind (recycle) their old tires when they purchase new tires. Most of the time this does result in a small fee, but it is worth it.

Tire piles are a great breeding ground for mosquitoes that may be a carrier of Encephalitis or West Niles Virus to your family, farm animals and/or pets.

Tires are accepted year round at the office/warehouse facility which is located east of the Chrisney Drop-Off Center. (Click here directions)

It has been the practice in the past years to hold June Tire Amnesty Days for Spencer County Residents. Depending on state and other agency funding a set number of passenger tires have been recycled for free. Watch for more information about the Tire Recycling program in the Spring of the year.

Watch for our next Tire Amnesty Days June10 & 11, 2011.  The first ten (10)
passenger/small truck tires will be free.  You may bring as many tires as you have with all over ten (10) priced at $1.00 - passenger/small truck tires;
$5.00 - semi tires; tractor tires priced at $25.00 each. Tires on rims - add $1.00 per tire.  We will accept tires on rims.
